Park West Health System (PWHS) is seeking an Internal Medicine (MD) Clinical Lead to provide high-quality adult primary care while supporting clinical leadership within our Internal Medicine department. This role is ideal for a mission-driven physician who wants to maintain a strong clinical focus (70–patient care with 30% administrative/leadership time.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive adult primary care, including diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, PrEP/PEP, chronic disease management, and immunizations.
- Serve as EMR super user and provider advocate.
- Support accreditation readiness (Joint Commission, HRSA, OSV, etc.).
- Mentor, supervise, and evaluate internal medicine clinical staff.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and clinical committees.
- Support the development and implementation of clinical protocols and practice guidelines.
- Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and evaluating providers.
- Lead or co-lead internal medicine team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer on policies, compliance, and performance metrics.
- Contribute to planning and implementing new pediatric services and care delivery models.
- Support preventive health and wellness initiatives within the department.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school; or ECFMG-certified equivalent.
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine (or Family Medicine with strong adult medicine experience).
- Valid Maryland medical license and DEA certification (or eligibility).
- Minimum 3 years post-residency experience.
- Experience with managed care, PCMH requirements, and EMR systems.
- Ability to manage multiple clinical and administrative tasks efficiently.
- AAHIVM & Hepatitis C certification preferred.
Schedule:
- 70/30 Clinical to Administrative time.
- Full-time, onsite.
